Rules & Regulations

General Play:

  1. All players begin with 2,000 in chips (not including early reg. chips and purchased chips)
  2. Players earn 500 in chips for regestering at least ½ hour before start of tourney.
  3. For every $10 purchase BEFORE the start of the tournament,  player earns an additional 1,000 chips.
  4. For every $10 purchase DURING the tournament, player earns an additional 500 chips.
  5. At break, players still in the field receive an additional 2,000 chips.
  6. Players that get "knocked out" can rebuy to get back into the tourney by buying the table they are seated a drink.
  7. When a player rebuys back in, they will receive 2,000 in chips plus any chips that resulted from the purchase.
  8. A player can buy the table a round at any time for an additional 2,000 plus any chips that result from the purchase.
  9. Rebuys are 2,000 each time and are unlimited until we reach the 1,200/2,400 level. At that point, there are no more rebuys.

Before play begins:

  1. All players must be registered before the start of the tourney.
  2. All players must be at 21 years of age with a valid photo ID.
  3. NO WAGERING OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED – anyone caught wagering or starting a “side” game will be disqualified immediately and/or subject to a ban.
  4. Players will be assigned to a table at the beginning of the tourney by the tournament director (T.D.).
  5. Anyone caught bringing in their own chips will be disqualified immediately and/or subject to a ban.
  6. Players will be allowed into the tourney for 15 minutes after the start. (Those that cannot make it by that time must wait for entry at break.)

Playing:

  1. Rules of the game are as described on www.texasholdem-poker.com.
  2. Before gaming starts, players will “draw for deal.” High card is the dealer.
  3. If a card is accidentally exposed during the deal, that card is shown to all and becomes the “burn” card – the person whose card was exposed gets the last card dealt.
  4. Only “card covers” may be used to cover cards. Cards must remain on the table and visible at all times.
  5. ALL Chips must remain on the table and be visible to all.
  6. Be respectful. No abusive or foul language. Anyone deemed to be using abusive language by the T.D. is subject to disqualification and/or ban.
  7. When a “side pot” situation occurs, only the dealer or the players involved in the pot are permitted help divide the chips.
  8. NO STRING BETS. The only actions permitted will be: check, call, raise or fold.
  9. The player that made the last “bet” must reveal their cards before any other player reveals theirs.
  10. Do not throw your hand into the muck – it will be automatically folded. No pull backs.
  11. To win a hand, BOTH cards must be shown.
  12. Players do not need to announce their hand – if the cards are revealed and the hand is better than the announced hand, it will play. Revealed cards “speak” louder than  what was announced.

Misc. Rules:

  1. If any questions arise during play call for the T.D. – their decisions are final.  
  2. Any cheating, collusion or wagering will not be tolerated. Anyone caught will be immediately disqualified and/or banned.
  3. The T.D. will attempt keep a minimum of 5 players to a table. This means players may be asked to move to a different table to maintain the minimum. This procedure will not occur at the final table.
  4. Misdeals occur if: a) the first card of the deal is exposed, b) more than 2 cards are dealt to a player.
